Our story begins in 1920 with St. Matthews Feed Store. More than 70 years ago the name was changed to St. Matthews Feed & Seed. Over the decades we have evolved into a full-service garden center offering unique and high-quality products. We continue to offer the latest and best varieties of grass seeds and fertilizers, and work with local growers to provide fresh flower and vegetable plant material. We have expanded our nature area for birding enthusiasts, added several lines of organic products, and are always looking for new varieties of trees, shrubs, and perennials. 

Each season we offer products to beautify your home and garden. We introduce new pots, planters, and home décor items along with a wide variety of indoor plants. While St. Matthews Feed & Seed continues to grow, we will always provide garden staples such as soils, mulches, tools, and seeds. Moreover, our product selection may change with the seasons; however, our dedication to our customers remains the same year after year.

Responsibilities:

🌿 Receiving and stocking merchandise
🌿 Assisting in caring for plants and maintaining displays
🌿 Providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries
🌿 Loading mulch and other landscaping materials for customers
🌿 General clean-up and maintaining a tidy work environment
🌿 Operating the cash register and assisting with checkout

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Flexible part-time with weekend availability and seasonal schedules
✅ Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed
✅ Willingness to work outdoors and in a fast-paced environment
✅ Dependable and eager to learn
✅ Prior retail or gardening experience is a plus, but not required
